Zero punch lists, when it counts the most: at turnover.

Our inspection and verification services eliminate materials-of-construction deviations, installation errors, and TOP punch lists. Meet your construction and IQ validation schedule with QAM's third-party experience, fully electronic and searchable TOP, and proprietary PreVal system.

Project organization

Project Quality Plan

A systematic approach that starts with front-end validated process system planning, aligning the fabricator's processes, QAM services, and your validation team's expectations to the project specifications before the first weld is made.

Project Training

Project-specific training courses covering the GDP protocol, weld documentation, welding and installation requirements, and acceptance criteria, given to all fabrication and QAM personnel working on validated process systems.

Staff

The industry's most experienced management team and VT Level 2 PI inspectors, trained, examined, and certified through QAM's Pharma Industry program, administered by the Training Manager and QAM's ASNT NDT Level 3.

Equipment

Inspection and material testing equipment maintained to OEM specifications, calibrated to our Quality System, and functionally tested before shipment, with calibration documents provided for every calibrated instrument.

Materials of construction

The foundation of any project: MOC meeting quality standards, traceable documentation, and the engineering design.

Validated Material Inspection

Product-contact materials and documentation verified to the engineering design, material standards, and ASME BPE, with the MOC TOP delivered as fully content-searchable PDF.

PVDF & PFA Systems

Traceability and documentation for polymer systems differ drastically from stainless steel. QAM plans purchase specifications, documentation, and validation requirements before construction begins.

Welding verification

Welding Procedure Specification

Auto-GTAW WPS/PQR evaluated for conformance to ASME Section IX and/or BPE and approved by project engineering.

Welding Operator Qualification

Auto-GTAW WOPQ evaluated for conformance to ASME Section IX and/or BPE and approved by VT Level 2 inspectors.

Backing / Shielding Gas

Every gas source used for hygienic welding verified traceable to documentation demonstrating conformance to purity and impurity limits.

Fabrication & Installation Surveillance

Production welding and operators verified to the approved WPS/WOPQ; weld sample coupons made per project requirements; overall compliance with approved SOPs and the engineering design.

Weld inspection, weld audit & MOC verification

Weld Inspection (SS, PVDF, PFA)

Production welds inspected by direct visual or borescope per the project inspection plan and evaluated to the weld acceptance criteria, with weld, operator, MOC, machine, and gas data entered into the EDS.

Weld Documentation Audits

ISO drawings and weld logs audited at the point of inspection and prior to turnover, then auto-verified by PreVal against MOC, operator qualification, and gas certification documentation.

Auto TOP Verification

Hourly PreVal auto-verification cycles pre-validate ISO drawing data to inspection and verification reports, notifying inspectors and document control of all deviations.

Welding Statistics

Weekly statistics generated automatically: weld counts per contractor and location, individual counts, rejection rates, defect counts, charts, and more.

XRF / PMI Testing

Alloy verification during incoming inspection or post-fabrication. Most valuable when multiple grades (316L, AL-6XN®, HASTELLOY® C-22) are being installed.

Punch / Task List

IV deviations recorded per ISO drawing, tracked, and re-inspected until corrected, with QAM IV stamps documenting final drawing acceptance.

Installation verification

Final IV is performed at mechanical completion to verify conformance to the ISO drawings and engineering design.

Hangers / Supports

Verified to ISO drawing and hanger detail requirements: installation, welding, materials, and surface finish.

Slope

Direction and degree measured to the engineering design once supports are accepted, including dead-leg evaluation and valve drain angle verification.

As-Built

The overall installation verified to the ISO drawings, with red-lines providing an accurate record for future P&ID verification.

Final Weld Audit

A final audit is always required before turnover so any changes are evaluated. Inspection-time audits alone are never enough.

Testing, cleaning & turnover

Pressure Test

Verified for conformance to the engineering design and piping code, with the test package verified to project-specific requirements.

Cleaning, Flushing, Blowdown

System conditioning verified for circuit, boundary, criteria, and documentation requirements, including passivation parameters set by the owner.

Original Paper TOP

Provided in the traditional manner, organized to mirror the electronic TOP with full traceability between the two.

Electronic TOP

Every document fully text-searchable: tag numbers found among thousands of files in seconds, with real-time access, local transmission, or upload to any file-sharing platform.

Trusted third-party services

Put 25+ years of high-purity experience on your next project.
